Wilkinson County Teacher Accused of Inappropriate Contact with Student

Wilkinson County Authorities have arrested a teacher following allegations that he had inappropriate contact with a student.
Cornelius Dante Jones has been charged with child molestation and is being held at the Wilkinson County Law Enforcement Center.
The alleged incident took place at Wilkinson County High School.
According to Superintendent Dr. Aaron Geter Jr., the incident is currently under investigation and he indicates that the high school administration is assisting.
Jonathan Jackson with the Wilkinson County School System tells WGXA that, "The teacher has submitted a letter of resignation. His resignation has not been formally approved by the Wilkinson County Board of Education."
Geter commented to WGXA that, "Any allegation of harm against a student is taken seriously and we are working with the proper authorities as they investigate."
