Frank Reeves, the man accused of shooting and killing Linda Hunnicutt will stay in jail at least a few more days.

This comes just three days after his family thought they were meeting the conditions of his bond, but weren’t when they violated the condition of having an ankle bracelet on Reeves at all times.

Frank Dixon, Reeves son believes things got out of hand. "A seventy-three year old man that has not been in any trouble it doesn't seem warranted," he says.

Frank Reeves was release on a $100,000 bond on Tuesday, without an ankle monitor.

He lawyer, Veronica Brinson says in good faith, she informed the District Attorney’s office and the court that there would not be a monitor placed on Reeves until the scheduled appointment time of Friday.

Thursday morning at the request of the Distinct Attorney's office a bench warrant was issued for reeves arrest and soon after he turns himself in. "We are not going to try to hide and we are not going to try to run," said Frank Dixon, Reeves son.

Ennis set stipulations that Reeves wear an electronic ankle bracelet and always be the in company of an adult family member. His lawyer says a member of his family has volunteered to fill that role.

Also, Reeves will have to stay in his house except for trips to a doctor, and he can't have access to firearms.

"He would not have put these conditions in place if he didn't think that they were necessary," said David Cooke, District Attorney for the Macon Judicial Circuit.

The state's objective, to determine that reeves was clearly in violation of the crime.

"I think the main thing is that the judge recognized that the bond was not being complied with," adds Cooke.

The defense, noted that there was a misunderstanding with the order and that Reeves nor his family were intentionally opposing the bond order.

After testimony before the court, it was determined that the sheriff's department was unclear on the condition and instructed the family to take reeves home and get the ankle monitor, first thing the next morning.

"Our heart goes out to the Hunnicutt Family. we will never minimize their loss. At the same time my father is allotted certain rights according to the constitution and we are going to make sure that that happens," says Dixon.

Members of the Hunnicutt family did show up in opposition of Reeves release, but were denied an opportunity to speak before the court.

At the end of the hearing, things were clear for all sides. "I think the judge made it clear that he wants his order followed," says Cooke.

Before Reeves can be released on bond, his lawyer, Veronica Brinson will have to submit certifications to the District Attorney’s office to show that all provisions of reeves are met and he can only be released during traditional business hours of the court.
