A Macon apartment complex off Mercer University Drive goes up in flames early Thursday morning.

According to NewsTalk Central, a West Club Apartment building on Steven Drive caught fire around 2:00 a.m.

Firefighters evacuated families from eight units that were damaged in the blaze.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Macon-Bibb County Fire Department.
