The offices at Delaney Holliman Photography on Riverside Drive were still closed Thursday afternoon, and businesses around the office say they haven't seen the photographer in a while.
That could be because he's starting a new business venture.
According to documents NewsCentral obtained, Holliman has delinquent taxes on his business dating back to 2007. But according to the Macon-Bibb County Planning and Zoning Commission, Holliman is opening a second business. A cupcake shop on Forsyth Road.
'Hello There Cupcake' was approved by P and Z just a few weeks ago.
But for photography customers like Laura Fleck, they're still trying to understand why they've been ignored.
"I made it a personal point every night to email him. It was very stressful. It would bring me to tears sometimes," said Fleck.
Fleck got married in 2007 but didn't receive her wedding album until two and a half years later.
"Once the year mark passed is when I really started getting upset. I'd go to family reunions and want to show people, or at Christmas, and everybody would ask where was my album, and I had nothing to show for it," explained Fleck.
Several brides and family members of those brides have told NewsCentral they haven't laid hands on their wedding photos, while others say they're out almost 500 dollars after missing promised post-wedding sessions.
"Consumers sign a contract, they get things settled for their wedding and once the wedding takes place they have a very difficult time receiving their pictures and albums and things back from the company," said Kelvin Collins with the Better Business Bureau.
Because of those bad business practices, Holliman landed an 'F' rating from the Better Business Bureau.
NewsCentral still hasn't been able to contact Delaney Holliman.

He can start his scam up again said on Tuesday, Nov 9 at 5:31 PM
The new Hello There Cupcake store opened. I guess he can start his scam all over again. I can't believe that he could show his face in another business but he is at it again.

Maybe people need to look at the people who recommended him as their photographer. (Wedding planners) I'm sure some of them received money from him for them recommending him for the job. Good luck getting what you paid for.

Anonymous (said on Sunday, Sept 5 at 8:27): I will not harass his wife or kids because it would make me no better than Delaney. I would encourage Ervin Delaney Holliman to act like a man and make good on his obligations. Not only did he take advantage of the people who trusted him on their most important day, he also had employees that were impacted by his dishonest ways. I have no doubt the court would award me the money he owes me along with the court fees; however, I do have a problem believing that Delaney will hand over the money just because he is ordered to do so. I would much rather this story run everyday on the news around the Macon area and make his name as worthless as this contract I have. At least this way would help ensure that nobody else becomes a victim of his crooked ways.

Let me clarify that I was not attacking Dr. Holliman's character, because I do not know her. I was simply relating that I had contacted her regarding this situation and to not assume that she would or could do anything about the situation based on the fact that she is a doctor and a seemingly good member of the community.

I have contacted his wife via a Facebook message almost 2 weeks ago. I told her what I had been through and acknowledged that this was not her problem, but to please pass the message on to Delaney because I had exhausted all other methods of trying to contact him. I have had no response from her...so much for the theory of her being a good person based soley on her profession. As a member of the medical community myself (I'm a dentist), I know first hand that "doctor" unfortunately does not equal upstanding member of the community. I think that many of us brides that are dealing with this just maybe didn't realize there were so many of us out there, so maybe we will get a class action lawsuit together. I definitely do not think this is the end of this saga. Hopefully it will end well for the ones who have been so irresponsibly and wrongfully disregarded.

I am already out money and time wasted on Delaney Holliman! Why should I have to spend more money and time to get what I have already paid for??????

Another Dissatisfied Customer: if your that upset, which people have the right to be about this issue, but instead of harrassing him, his wife, his children, why not take him to court?

Everyones talking about how their out of money and cant get in contact w/ him, has no one taken him to court?

To: Anonymous (said today at 3:50 PM) First, you must have no stake in this issue. Second, Delaney didn't care that he was ruining the most important day for some Middle Georgia families. His wife should be well aware of his actions and if she isn't I would be glad to make her aware of them. If she is as good of a person as I hear she is a doctor, then she could force her husband to do the right thing and give all these couples their pictures! Also, you mention going to the kid’s schools…not a bad idea because I’m sure he is the one picking them up while his wife is at her office. The kids and wife are innocent; however, Delaney chose this option for him and his family!

seriously? call his wife at her place of business? why not just go to their childrens school while your at it. his wife probably Is embarrassed, so your going to make it worse? she is an amazing doctor and makes you feel like you're the only pt she has. so keep your focus on Mr. Holliman

His wife is probably listed as part owner of the company so some calls to her might be in order.

Can't help but wonder what a few calls placed to his wife's practice might do for him to finally make things happen for all of these brides!

What is truly sad is that his wife is an upstanding citizen (and doctor) in the community- how embarassing that must be for her to be married to someone like that!

AUFan - you are wrong. He did not provide the service he was paid for. Would you say the same for a doctor who performs surgery but doesn't close the incision? I mean he performed the operation, he just didn't finish.

When you contract with a photographer for any kind of picture taking job it is also for providing pictures or proofs for you to select your permanent prints. He did not fulfill the contract and in some cases kept all the money. In other cases he got only the down That is stealing

TELL ALL YOUR FRIENDS AND TELL THEM TO TELL THEIR FRIENDS DON'T BUY A SINGLE CUPCAKE FROM THIS CUPCAKE AND HE WILL DEFINITLEY FAIL!
AUfan said on Thursday, Sep 2 at 6:07 PM
The problem is that he has provided some of the service. He took the photos. That keeps it from being a criminal act. The roofing company took the money and never provided anything in return.

Why doesn't the Planning and Zoning Board do a little background check on applicants for business licenses; instead of just saying, "Yes"?
