Warner Robins considering minor league baseball team

NewsCentral Staff

WARNER ROBINS, Ga. (AP) - Officials in Warner Robins are asking for community input on the prospect of establishing a minor league baseball team.

After a meeting Wednesday, city officials said a minor league team could boost the city's economy and provide a source of summer entertainment.

The newspaper reports aside from gathering public input, city officials are looking for potential private investors to fund any construction related to a minor league team.

Officials say the popularity of the city's little league baseball program indicates a minor league team could generate community and economic interest.
