Warner Robins Fire Department Hosts Demonstration Day

NewsCentral Staff

The Warner Robins Fire Department held a “Demonstration Day” on Saturday at K-Mart in Houston County.

The event was part of a fire safety and education initiative during the month of October. The free event allowed people to learn about firefighters and how to prevent fires in the home. Firefighters said there's much more to the job than just responding to emergencies.

"We do this to kind of show hey, we're out there,” Assistant Chief of Training, Dean Christian said. “We don't just respond to the bad stuff. We actually go out and do public service."

The Warner Robins Fire Department will host this event again next October.
