W.R. Woman Arrested on Animal Cruelty Charges

A Warner Robins woman was arrested Saturday on charges of Cruelty to Animals, which is a felony.

52-year-old Mirand Delphine Thomas is in the Houston County Jail followed the arrest.

Officers responded Saturday to 219 Ward Street in reference to animal cruelty. The preliminary investigation supported a witness account that Thomas beat her dog with a club. Officers also observed the dog to have several visible injuries.

The dog was transported to a veterinarian to treat his injuries.
