WPGA-TV Files Complaint Against Cox Communications

NewsCentral Staff

The owners of WPGA-TV, Radio Perry, have filed a complaint against Cox Communications.

The complaint is in response to a letter from Cox Communications which states Cox's intention to delete WPGA-TV from channels 6 and 1006.

It's WPGA's position that Cox intends to remove WPGA from its system, which would be in violation of a recent ruling by the federal communications commission.

A hearing date has not been set.

Is compelete comparisons to Directv a monopoly for Cox as well? Cox has never, nor never will stand a chance in competition with the big satellite providers. Here today and gone...whats the saying tomorrow? The same way Cox has been trying to remove WPGA from your broadcasting with no progress. Hmmm real classly act broadcasting that a previous subscirber to your horrible services an idiot. Seems to me Macon can clearly see who's the idiot now.

J your recent opinion shows your an idiot and your request for other competitors will not happen as Cox has the monopoly in this area. I win.

My personal opinion would be to "remove" Cox Communications from our community. We made the switch a few years back to satellite even after Cox made suggestions that we would not enjoy it. I must say that our satellite service provider is hands down compared the Cox. It seems that the Cox Communication name is always associated with bad press around the area. Getting another cable provider in the area such as Charter or Comcast would most likely help this situation.
