WGXA Exclusive: Two Rescued from Rocky Creek's High Waters

NewsCentral Staff

Two men are safe after being rescued from Macon's Rocky Creek Tuesday.

WGXA was the only news crew on the scene in the backyard of Deacon Davis' home on Long Acre Drive.

Davis said he was fishing when his canoe flipped over. That's when he called his son-in-law for help, but he found trouble too when his boat capsized.

Both were glad when Firefighters from the Macon-Bibb Fire Department arrived and helped them to safety.

The two are fine.

They quickly changed their wet clothes and say they are just thankful the rescue crews arrived when they did.
