Two men have been charged after burglarizing a home and attempting to poison the homeowner's dogs in Warner Robins.

31-year-old Donald Gauthier and 25-year-old Benjamin Salter, Junior are each charged with one count of conspiracy to commit burglary and cruelty to animals.

It happened Tuesday in the 100 block of Peachtree Boulevard. Deputies say the homeowner returned to find a male suspect fleeing from the residence.

K-9's were able to track the suspects' path. Authorities seized the stolen property and came across more stolen goods when they found the suspect's car.
