Two Shot During East Macon Attempted Break In

A Thursday morning shooting leaves two people hospitalized and Macon police investigating.

The bullets began to fly on Triple Hill Drive.

Homeowner Gail Burney says she saw a man trying to break into her son's apartment behind her home.

Her son tried stopping the suspect at the door.

Both men were armed and during their struggle and her son was shot in the face.

The suspect was shot once in the shoulder. Burney says her neighborhood is getting more dangerous by the day.

Both victims are being treated at the Medical Center of Central Georgia.

No word on any charges filed in the case.
