Tonight in theatres across the country the final installment in the Twilight movie saga hit the big screen. Here in Macon, fans began lining up early in what was more than just a movie, it was an event.
Photo op displays were set up along with donation stations for Toys for Tots and the Middle Georgia Food Bank and there was a special celebrity guest as well.
Audiences may know him as the evil vampire Felix but his real name is Daniel Cudmore.
"I wanted to come out and lend my part as much as I can and if it brings more toward it by having little old me out here and saying hi to people, then I'll do my part." -Daniel Cudmore
The charity aspect of the event was the idea of Esmes Heart, a local charity organization made up of hard core fans of the Twilight books and films.
"We just find things that need to be done in the community and we do it. And we hope to inspire others to do it. That's one of our big things is if people can see that there's a group of us that got together to do it, then why can't they."-Cindy Adrien/Esmes Heart
900 people were expected at Thursday night's screening.
