Twiggs County Post Office Closing

Some Twiggs county residents are in for a drastic change at their local post office.

The Danville facility on Second Street will close at the end of the month.

Officials say the building is in terrible condition and renovations would be expensive. The closure is part of an emergency suspension.

There's no word on whether the office will reopen.

Residents who use P.O. Boxes at the Danville location will be relocated to the Allentown Post Office.
