Thousands expected to attend annual Baptist convention in Macon

The General Missionary Baptist Convention of Georgia will hold its annual convention on November 12th through the 15th at the Macon Centreplex.

Macon has hosted the convention since 2005 and approximately 1,000 members are expected to attend. The convention will include leadership sessions and worship services, which will bring together churches, clergy, and laity from across the state. There will also be a 100 voice choir concert Monday, November 12th at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 per person and can be purchased at the door.

Pastor Anthony Q. Corbett Sr. and The Lundy Chapel Baptist Church will serve as the host church for the convention. “We are looking forward to coming to Macon again and I am very excited to be a part of the committee this year,” said Chairperson Pastor Anthony Corbett.

All sessions and worship services are open to visitors and the public is encouraged to attend.
