New details in the nationwide meningitis scare that's left 19 people dead..
We're now learning at least 10 more Midstate facilities may have received medicines from the drug maker implicated in the outbreak.
The North Central Health District has released the names of the facilities that received products that are part of an expanded recall.
Those facilities include Houston Medical Center, Associates Surgery Center, Coliseum Same Day Surgery Center, Eye Center of Central Georgia,
Also the Forsyth Street Ambulatory Surgical center, Georgia Neurosurgical Outpatient Surgery Center, Piedmont Surgery Center, Renaissance Plastic Surgery, Spa Medical, and Washington County Regional Medical Center.
Out of the facilities listed, Spa Medical contacted us about their status with the drug company. Spa Medical says they did not have any of their NECC products at the time of the recall and had never ordered any of the products recently mentioned in the media.
They (Spa Medical) have in the past ordered some topically applied products from NECC. However, Spa Medical says they have never used any injectable products from NECC.

The FDA has recommended that health care workers reach out to patients who have received the products and inform them of infection symptoms.
If symptoms do occur, you should contact your health care provider immediately.
