Macon Police say they arrested a suspected carjacker during a routine traffic stop on Tuesday.

Deontae Coker,22, was pulled over on Second Street in downtown Macon. Police say Coker gave them conflicting information about who he was, but a fingerprint scanner on the scene identified him.

He was wanted for a carjacking incident that happened last month. Coker faces charges of armed robbery, giving a false name, driving with a suspended licence and carjacking.

He's in the Bibb LEC on a $1,900 bond.
