Student Gives his Account of Northeast High Incident

"It's like, it's all you hear around school about the incident that happened, everybody still talking about it,” says Charles Denson, a student at Northeast High School.
Mixed feelings fill Northeast High School after an alleged rape incident occurred January 19th, reportedly in the boy's bathroom; the victim a 16-year-old girl. Seven students have been accused and charged with rape, two of which are 15-years-old, one is 14, and students at the high school are talking.
"The whole school is walking around school saying ‘free Greg,’ they think he didn't do it, but nobody speaks up about it,” says Denson.
Charles is talking about his cousin Greg Watkins who was arrested. The incident reports say very little about what may have happened, just that the accused acted ‘knowingly and forcibly’. This student thinks differently and says this is not the first time something like this happens.
"I've seen….last semester, I had third block with the girl. She usually get boys and go up under the bleachers in gym class when the coaches were outside the gym,” says Denson.
Macon Police just received the case file this week, after it was handed over by Bibb County Schools' Campus Police. Macon Police Chief Mike Burns released a statement Thursday afternoon saying:
"I can say that the Macon Police Department will take a very deliberate approach to this case and do a thorough investigation to glean all of the facts. We will not be rushed. We ask the community for patience and respect as we pursue justice."
Watkins' sister spoke out after visiting her brother at the Bibb LEC and is concerned about how Campus Police handled the investigation.
"He was not ‘mirandized’ (read Miranda rights) he actually didn’t find out about what he was being charged with until he got to booking,” says Shanetreias Watkins, sister of one of the accused.
Watkins' grandmother says she wants justice for the victim if the rape did occur, but wants police to seriously look at what they are charging these seven young men with and make sure they are punishing the right person.
"They should know what they are doing to these guys, don't just grab up all these guys and charge these guys with rape because this has to go with them the rest of their lives,” says Ruby Watkins, grandmother of one of the accused.

The girl mustn't be too handicapped she knows what sexual intercourse is and has been involved with it for quite some time. And how can someone persuade you into the boys restroom if you were supposedly brought out of class for "another teacher."

Honestly I would just like to say that I really do not think that the girl is handicapped. She may have a behavior disorder or must be bipolar at the most but handicapped?!?! Let's use common sense. If she is, shouldn't she have someone with her watching over her and looking out for her at all times? Because that seems to make a lot of sense. If not, then that specifically explains that the girl should definitely know right from wrong. You mean to tell me out of all of the people at school within those hours, No one heard this girl make any noise or yell??? To me that seems a bit suspicious Especially knowing that this girl has a reputation already. The real story is the girl had sex with those boys and was getting teased and talked about and decided to take on revenge. The sex was prob casual from both sides and I think she needs to come forth with the truth. This is something serious and should not be played with. These boys deserve justice if anything THEY are the victims.

It is amazing how these parents or grandparents always come to these kids or criminals defense when these kids have not an ounce of respect for them! And Its Amazing how all these Law Enforcement Agencies want to appear to shine during this sad incident. Macon Police Department, you and your officers are no more qualified than Bibb County Campus Police or The Bibb Sheriff Department. Many of these officers who work for the Campus police have worked for many police departments before they transition over to the campus police department. It is what it is , they should have been charged if they participated, if they stool by and just been the watch out person,, that's my friend is just as quilty as been the one on top... Yhe school system is dealing with a sexually active teen who has a history of this type of behavior , I am sure the boys had sex and it was consentual, sad situation!!! I will pray for you boys!!!.

Punishment should be severe ,parents don't cover up these same guys. Might have other victims that need to come forward,they will go to jail as boys,and later tranform into girls ,see who check for your gang rape stains
