Stolen SUV Recovered after Chase through Macon

An SUV stolen in Warner Robins has been recovered in a Macon neighborhood.

Warner Robins Police issued a ‘bolo’, or "be on the lookout", for a stolen Jeep Rubicon Wednesday afternoon.

Bibb County deputies spotted the vehicle on Houston Avenue in Macon. When the deputies began their pursuit, the driver sped away and tried to make a sharp left turn on Bennell Street, but he ended up crashing into a building.

The driver was arrested and is in the custody of Warner Robins police.

The crash is being investigated by the Georgia State Patrol.

The identity of the suspect has not been released.
