Shop "Green" This Christmas

Alexis Sergeant

The Christmas Season brings a lot of "green" including Christmas trees and Christmas spending.

There is another way to be green this Christmas, buying and giving gently used clothes. Plato's closet offers just this in the latest trends at a consumer friendly price. "Plato's Closet is a gently used store where we take clothes to give back to the community for young children and young adults who can't afford to shop in the mall and can't afford the regular retail prices," says Denita Johnson.

Plato's Closet also lets the consumer put a little green in their wallet by purchasing gently used clothes and paying the customer instant cash. "We like for you to bring in your gently used clothes; we like the trend from the last 6 months to a year where it's skinny legs, darker denim, we like up to date clothing as far as Abercrombie, Hollister, Aeropostale, Polo," says Johnson.

Buying clothes and accessories at a budget friendly price lets shoppers buy for everyone on their list. "Plato's helps you look more trendy and cool and helps your mother and your parents budget and they get to save on at least half of what they spend in the mall."

So this Christmas, shop green for your wallet and the environment.
