Seized property hits the auction block this weekend

Seized property and government vehicles are going up for auction this weekend.
The Bibb County Sheriff's Office is putting up for auction around 22 vehicles many of them seized during drug busts. The auction will also include heavy lifting equipment, guns, and other vehicles like four-wheelers and go-carts.
Sheriff David Davis says he hopes the auction generates tens of thousands of dollars for his department.
"The money raised from this will go back into, some of it will go into the general fund, some of it will go into our fund account so it will all help us buy equipment and do some of the things to help the citizens," said Sheriff Davis.
The auction will take place beginning at 9 a.m. on Saturday at T-Lynn Davis Realty and Auction located at 4459 Broadway in Macon.
All purchases must be made the day of the auction.
