Sam Hart to announce candidacy for mayor in new consolidated government

Bibb County Commission Chairman Sam Hart is planning a move from the county to the city.

Hart is expected to announce his candidacy for mayor of the new Macon-Bibb consolidated government on Wednesday, February 27. He'll make his announcement at 11 a.m. at Mulberry Street Park directly across from the courthouse.

Hart, a democrat, is inviting the community to attend the news conference. He's running on the platform of "Think Community -- Creating the Future Together."
