Robins Ceremony Consolidates Centers

Celeste Smith

The Warner Robins Air Logistics Center officially becomes a part of the Air Force Sustainment Center on Tuesday morning.

During a special ceremony Brigadier General Cedric George assumed command of the complex.

According to a news release from the base, the re-designation as an air logistics complex and consolidation with the Air Force Sustainment Center is part of an Air Force Material Command effort that reduces the number of centers from 12 to five in the command.

The restructure will save about $109 million annually. General Janet Wolfenbarger, commander of Air Force Materiel Command, officiated the ceremony.
