Roasted receives approval on new sidewalk design

Aaron Leedy

A downtown Macon cafe whose wall has been an issue between the owners and the city has received the green light to construct a new one.

The Macon-Bibb County Urban Development Authority approved a new design for a sidewalk enclosure at Roasted Cafe and Lounge.

The previous wooden wall was ordered to be taken down because it wasn't properly permitted. The approved design calls for a single-iron rail with planters. The Development Authority says Roasted Cafe can proceed with construction since the new wall has been approved.
