Roasted Cafe Wall Comes Down

NewsCentral Staff

After months of debate with Macon city leaders, a downtown business owner tears down his Second Street wall on Saturday.

The wall in front of Roasted Cafe was taken apart after a lengthy debate between owner Nick Rizkalla and the Urban Development Authority. The development authority has been trying to remove the wall because it didn't fit mayor Reichert's vision for the Second Street Corridor. Roasted will replace the wall with an iron fence.
