Reverend Al Sharpton Visits Macon

NewsCentral Staff

People in Macon get a much anticipated visit from the Reverend Al Sharpton on Sunday.

Sharpton spoke to a packed house at Beulahland Bible Church. More than 2,000 people filled the worship hall to hear the pastor speak about black history and how to better the community. While Sharpton remained neutral on politics, many people said they're happy he visited Middle Georgia.

"I love to hear him speak because he's always talking about positive things that's for the African Americans and moving us forward,” church visitor, Shirley Gooden said.

After the service, Sharpton visited another church in Lithonia.
