Re-zoning approved for proposed north Macon shopping complex

A portion of land in north Macon could become the next new shopping center in the city.

The Macon-Bibb Planning and Zoning Commission approved re-zoning just over six acres on Riverside Drive. It's now zoned for commerical.

Proposed restaurants, retail stores and offices will soon fill the space. Over 380 parking spaces are required for the project.

It's unknown when construction will begin.
