A local business owner is giving what he can to help a youth organization in Macon keep its doors open.
The 360 Automotive Group on Pio Nono Ave. donated a scooter to “The Real Me Incorporated Youth Program.” The youth group plans to auction off the scooter in a raffle with all proceeds going to help finance the group's summer program for children.
The scooter has one mile on it and "Real Me" president, Marcus Givens said people can purchase a ticket for fifteen dollars apiece. He’s also grateful for community members helping him out in his cause.
“It's organizations and businesses like this that help out organizations like us that help us feel that our work is not in vain,” he said.
Givens said he gave up his home and career to help the youth in the community. The raffle starts Monday and will continue through July 17.
