Progressive Christian Academy founder gives up license

NewsCentral Staff

The founder of Macon's Progressive Christian Academy has reportedly given up her license.

Reg Griffin with the Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning says Betty Tolbert has given up her license to run the preschool in a December 19th letter to the agency.

Griffin says at this point, no one has applied for a child care program license at that location either.

Tolbert complained that she was owed money when the school was sold to E.T. Strickland of Florida. Ownership of the troubled school has been in dispute for months.
