Police investigating brawl at school bus stop on Houston Avenue

Macon Police are investigating a brawl that broke out at a school bus stop Thursday morning.

It happened around 6:30 a.m. at a bus stop on Houston Avenue. Students from Rutland middle and high schools were assigned to that bus stop.

Bibb County school officials say the bus driver did not pick up additional riders after the fight. That's why some students were not provided school bus transportation Thursday morning. But, the bus returned to its scheduled route the same afternoon.

In the meantime, Macon Police will provide added security at the bus stop Friday morning.
