The sisters of a 51-year-old Macon man who died after being severely beaten, are pleading for the public's help in bringing justice to whoever killed their brother.
Ellen Finkelstein and Adrian Jelks described at a press conference Thursday, how their brother Albert Jelks was brutally beaten and left for dead outside of his work on Vineville Avenue on the night of July 13th.
Jelks says one of her brothers eyes was completely destroyed and his skull was cracked, when he was found outside the Sleep Shop on the 3200 block of Vineville Avenue.
"There is someone out there who is also a mother, a father, or a sister or a brother, or even just a friend and might have compassion for us and help us find the person or persons who did this," said Adrian Jelks.
Police are seeking any information however mundane it may seem, and are offering the maximum $1,000 for information leading to an arrest.
If you have any information you can call the Macon Police Department at (478) 751-7500 OR CRIMESTOPPERS AT (877) 68-CRIME.
