Police Investigating Possible Downtown Macon Purse Snatching

Macon Police responded Friday evening to a possible purse snatching in downtown that happened in broad daylight.

The call came in just after 6:30 p.m. near the corner of Cherry Street and MLK Jr. Boulevard. Police quickly arrived on the scene to find the alleged female victim.

Police say she claims a man came up, grabbed her purse and took off, but responding officers say that the woman wasn't forthcoming with information on the suspect.

Police are still looking into what happened.
