Perry Woman Arrested for Carrying Machete, Possessing Meth

A Houston County woman is in the Bibb County LEC for carrying a machete and possessing meth.

A police report states Beverly Coffman of Perry was found swinging a machete in a parking lot on Gray Highway Friday night.

As officers investigated, they found the car she had been sitting in had two toddlers, as well as scales with residue of suspected methamphetamine.

Coffman was taken to jail on Aggravated Assault and drug possession charges.
