People Shop For Local Products at Wesleyan Market

NewsCentral Staff

Wesleyan Market kicks off 2013 with the first market of the year on Saturday.

More than 100 people visited the Wesleyan Market at Wesleyan College to buy homemade goods, products and shop for locally grown produce. Vendors said they've seen an increase in business since the market started four years ago and expect even more people in the spring when certain produce comes into season.

"It's just a chance to let folks know what you have and they can come out and buy your locally made items,” vendor Steve Nofs said.

The market takes place year round and happens every second Saturday of the month.
