Friday night High School football kicks off here in Central Georgia and NewsCentral let you, the fans, decide who you wanted to see in the big game.

You chose a classic rivalry, Peach County at Perry.

"Peach has historically really owned the series. I think Perry had a little bit of a good run when Casey Hayward, who now is playing for the Green Bay Packers, was the quarterback a few years ago but for the most part Peach has really owned the series over the last 25 years or so," says Jonathan Heeter, High School Sports Editor of The Telegraph.

Both teams made the playoffs last year. Perry was eliminated early. Peach County lost in the State Championship and then lost a wealth of talent to graduation.

"They've got to replace nine starters off that defense that played for the State Championship but no one down there wants to hear about rebuilding. They're ranked number one in the AP poll right now so I think a lot of people believe, a lot of people across the state still believe that they're a threat to win the State Championship. Obviously on offense they're loaded. Demarcus Robinson, one of the best players in Georgia, is back," says Heeter.

Demarcus Robinson is the top wide receiver recruit in Georgia. He's already committed to playing college ball at Clemson.
Throwing to Robinson is veteran Quarterback Greg Williams, who would have played last year if not for an ACL tear, and protecting Williams is an offensive line that returns 4 of 5 players.
Stopping the Trojans big wide out will be key to a Panthers victory.

"They've got veteran defensive backs, so that's going to help, but he really torched them last year in this game. So, they're going to have to pay constant attention to him. Plus, you have a really experienced offensive line for Peach and a lot of running backs back so if you put all your focus on stopping Demarcus Robinson they're going to gash you with the rushing attack. Which is why I think they're going to be able to score a lot of points this year. It's just going to be whether or not they can stop other teams from scoring a lot of points," says Heeter.
