NewsCentral Staff

A manhunt in Peach County for a man who took off from a traffic stop has been suspended, but the suspect is still at large.

It all began Friday evening when a Georgia State Patrol officer pulled a vehicle over on Interstate 75.

The suspect, described as a black male with white shorts and a black and white striped shirt, reportedly took off on foot from the trooper who stopped him.

The Georgia State Patrol activated their chopper in the search.

A dispatcher with Peach County's 911 says they've fielded reports of the suspect's possible whereabouts from Bibb County and Crawford County, as well as at least two locations within Peach County.
