Overnight Blaze Under Investigation

A Sunday fire that engulfed a Putnam Street home is still under investigation.

Captain Musselwhite with the Macon-Bibb Fire Department tells NewsCentral, around 3 a.m. Sunday morning fire fighters responded to a blaze at 1036 Putnam Street.

The fire also damaged a neighboring home near Capitol Avenue.

The units were vacant when the fire started.

Investigators are still trying to figure out the cause.
