One dead, three injured in Jones County crash

A Milledgeville woman is dead and three other people are injured after a head on collision on Highway 49 Friday night.

According to the Jones County Sheriff's Office, 28-year-old Courtni Carswell died when her vehicle struck another vehicle carrying Kelli Rutherford of Haddock and her two children around 10 p.m. near Salem Church - Miller Road.

Rutherford and her children were taken to the Medical Center of Central Georgia, the two children have since been released.

Rutherford is listed in good condition. The crash is under investigation.
