Suspect Identified in Waffle House Shooting

Macon Police are investigating a Sunday morning Murder.

Officers responded to the Waffle House on Chambers Road just after 4 a.m. Sunday in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival, 20-year-old Christopher Crowder was found unresponsive in the parking lot with a gunshot wound to the face.

According to witnesses on the scene. an altercation took place between Crowder and another male, who fired several shots from the roadway, before fleeing the scene.

A 19-year-old black female and a 20-year-old black male were also wounded in the incident and were transported to the Medical Center of Central Georgia for treatment.

Crowder was pronounced dead on the scene by Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones.

Late Sunday evening, Macon Police announced that they are seeking 19-year-old Ashley D. Brown who is described as a light-skinned black male, approximately 5'7" and 160 lbs. Brown has 5 previous arrests since 2010.
