With less than 24 hours until the Robins Air Show at Robins Air Force Base, organizers were busy Friday dotting the i’s and crossing the t’s with final rehearsals.
One attraction in town...a school bus with a jet engine!
That's right...a school bus with a jet engine...44-thousand horsepower...speeds topping 300 miles per hour.
They gave NewsCentral’s own Chief Meteorologist Jeff Cox a test drive Friday. They decided to take it easy on him and only went 280 miles per hour down the runway at Robins, flames shooting out the back and all!
You should've seen his hair when he was done...and the big smile on his face too!
You can catch the jet engine powered school bus and over 20 other attractions at the Robins Air Show this weekend. Gates open at 10 a.m. with the first flight taking off at 11:15.
