New Warehouse Airlifts Pieces To Complete Construction

NewsCentral Staff

A new warehouse in the I-75 Business Park is well underway and reaches a construction benchmark on Saturday.

More than 20 HVAV units were airlifted on top of the roof at the Tractor Supply warehouse. The new Southeastern distributing center started construction last year and is slated to be complete this summer. The 690,000 square foot building is funded by SPLOST money and developers said has the potential to bring economic development to the area.

"We consider this to be a momentous moment and there will be other tag along businesses that come that will offer job opportunities for the citizens in this community,” Industrial Authority Chairman Cliffard Whitby said.

Tractor Supply is increasing its job pool from 200 to 315 jobs for the new warehouse. Construction is set to be complete by August with the first shipments leaving by September
