New Medical Center President Starts

Monday was the first day on the job for the new president and executive officer of Central Georgia's Health System and The Medical Central of Central Georgia.

Ninfa M. Saunders has 40 years of hospital administrative and clinical experience.

Saunders was recently the president and COO of Virtua Health in New Jersey.

A committee from CGHS and the Medical Center agreed in September to hire Dr. Saunders.

She replaces Don Faulk who is retiring after 39 years at the Medical Center of Central Georgia.
