New Leads, False Hope in Search for Missing Twiggs Girl

New leads in the twelve year old search for a missing girl yields false hope.

Chief Deputy Billy Boney tells NewsCentral twelve year old Teresa Dean disappeared from Twiggs County in 1999.

A new lead led officers to Perry, where the GBI Crime Lab Unit used new X ray technology to search for evidence underground.

The search produced no new leads.

Sheriff Mitchum says the Twiggs County Sheriff's Office will follow any and all leads in the attempt to find this missing person.
