New Job, Title Changes in Store for Bibb Sheriff's Office

Bibb County Commissioners meet with the new sheriff to discuss upcoming changes in the department.
New Sheriff David Davis addressed commissioners to let them know about new changes to state law that require his department to make title and position changes.
The new Chief of Staff position which will be held by David Mumford will handle the department's day to day operations while the Chief Deputy will be second in command.

Sheriff David Davis : “We want to set the stage for the merger between the city and county government. Our primary duty is to answer calls to service. “
Davis is a member of the consolidation task force and expects to make the position changes effective soon.
