New Candidates to Announce Plans for Consolidation Seats

NewsCentral Staff

The field thickens for next year's Macon-Bibb's consolidated government elections.

A spokesperson for Macon attorney and former City Councilman Mike Cranford tells WGXA he will make his candidacy official Thursday.

Realtor Mallory Jones also announced for the district 4 seat. Jones was a recent Bibb County Commission candidate and says he wants to bring real transparency and accountability to the taxpayers while holding the line on taxes.

There are unconfirmed reports that political newcomer Eric Arnold plans to campaign as well.
