New Bibb Animal Director Starts

NewsCentral Staff

The changing of the guard at the Bibb Animal Shelter is now official.

Hawkinsville native Sarah Tenon will formally begin her new job Tuesday.

But some longstanding problems at the shelter still exist. The facility is under quarantine again for the latest outbreak of parvo.

Tenon, who worked previously at a shelter in Mobile, Alabama, knows her work is cut out for her.

Tenon was nominated by Bibb County Commissioner Sam Hart. Hart's motion was approved on a 4-to-1 vote.
