Murder-For-Hire Mastermind to Face Sentencing

NewsCentral Staff

A Warner Robins man found guilty in the murder-for-hire case will be sentenced by a judge on Wednesday

56-year-old James "Eddy" Clements will go in front of Houston county Judge Edward Lukemire who will give him his sentence. Possibly joining him will be Richard and Robert Sybert....the father son duo who testified against Clements in the trial saying Clements arranged the murder for his wife Joni Clements in February 2011. In exchange for their testimonies, Richard avoids the death penalty but will be in jail for the rest of his life without the possibility of parole and Robert will be in the slammer for 30 years.

District Attorney George Hartwig said he will pursue a sentence of life without the possibility of parole for Clements.
