Missing Dublin Man Found Dead

NewsCentral Staff

A Dublin man missing since last Tuesday has been found dead.

Officers pulled over a car Tuesday night and the driver who was carrying a gun, ran away from the traffic stop.

Later that evening, the owner of the vehicle, 43 year old Anthony Holmes, picked up the car. It was the last time he would be seen alive.

Jefferson County Coroner Edward James tells NewsCentral, Holmes was found Monday afternoon in the town of Wadley in a wooded area.
Coroner James says Holmes died of blunt force trauma and a gunshot wound to the head.

The investigation is ongoing.
