Middle Georgia's Most Wanted: Forsyth Restaurant Armed Robbery

Police Searching for Clues in Captain D's Armed Robbery

NewsCentral Staff

It's business as usual at the Captain D's restaurant on North Lee Street in Forsyth. But three masked men halted the fish frying at this fast food joint last summer.

On June 15, 2011, the armed robbers rushed in as employees were closing for the night. They forced the workers to take money out of the company's safe and beat at least three employees with their guns.

The men then left the building and ran off with an undetermined about of cash. Police believe a getaway car was somewhere nearby and they're taking this vicious crime extremely seriously.

Investigator David Brown says the case started strong, but dozens of interviews later, there are no leads.

The three victims were hospitalized. They will probably never feel safe again. At least not while working at a fast food restaurant.

But maybe you can offer the victims peace of mind by helping Forsyth Police solve this case. If you have any information about the armed robbery, call CrimeStoppers at 1-877-68-CRIME.
