NewsCentral Staff

Many people gathered in Macon on Saturday to help raise college scholarship money and hopefully win a car.

The Motivating Youth Foundation hosted its fourth annual "Scholarship Raffle.” The organization partnered with international fraternity Omega Psi Phi to raise money to support high school seniors going to college. The raffle raised more than $20,000 and staff members said they want to use the money to help kids accomplish their dreams.

"Education is a gateway to whatever you want to do in life and we just trying to make sure that the kids that apply for these scholarships are able to go off to college and fulfill their dream," Foundation Founder, Roger Jackson said.

Jackson said he wants to give away 20 scholarships in 2013. First prize in the raffle won a 2013 Camaro or $15,000 in cash.
