The Middle Georgia Employer Committee has won the Committee of the year award for a second year in a row.
State Labor Commissioner Mark Butler presented the award on behalf of the state committee at its annual conference held this week in Savannah.
Butler says the middle Georgia employer committee has provided several opportunities for jobseekers and employers to improve their knowledge on a variety of work-related issues.
“In the past year, this committee has successfully completed projects that touched people throughout the area. It provided several opportunities for jobseekers and employers to improve their knowledge on a variety of work-related issues, reached out to those with special needs, and worked to help jobseekers find good jobs and employers hire skilled employees," said Butler in a press release.
The employer committee, which serves the Macon-Warner Robins area, won the award based on its community service projects, other programs, and seminars.
